Sure, we've been kind of slack about updating the Score Repor, but there's been a lot going on around here. With a day like yesterday, however, an update is definitely warranted. For what I'm pretty sure is the first time this season, Team Moan - Carolina's went 4 for 4! And for those keeping track, the Mizzou game was certainly the highlight.
Missouri has been beaten up on by Oklahoma in 19 of their last 20 meetings. That is, until last night. Why Mizzou would schedule an opponent like Oklahoma for their homecoming game is beyond me, but they made it look almost easy. Mizzou remains undefeated and we here at The Moanstead are incredibly jealous of the multiple relatives/in-laws who got to attend the game in Columbia last night.
Elsewhere, Virginia Tech continued to make it look like they never did lose that sorry game to James Madison University, beating Duke handily. VT has now won 6 straight since their last loss and four of those were conference wins.
Idaho had a more reasonable plan for their homecoming game, taking on the seriously terrible New Mexico State University. This win was big for Idaho in that marks their first conference win and also keeps them in the realm of a winning record.
And lastly, though we really could care less about Georgia football, they have been doing surprisingly well as of late. In fact, though Mizzou directly took out a #1 this weekend, three degrees of separation shows that Georgia also beat a #1. Three weeks ago, South Carolina takes down #1 Alabama, the following weekend Kentucky upsets South Carolina, and this weekend Georgia beats Kentucky. Maybe it doesn't work that way, but it sounds good.
